my name is Maggie, and I’m the owner and operator of The Petal Exchange and a native of Athens, Georgia!
I can’t tell my story without first mentioning my grandmother, Jo, whose memory since the early stages of The Petal Exchange has been a cornerstone in conceptualizing what the business would become. I fondly recall her working in the garden in her wide-brimmed hat, delicately cutting a few Knock-Out roses for the breakfast table. My grandmother took pride in her garden, and like her, I find that surrounding myself with flowers and plants brings a particular sense of joy and calm. In 2020, I opened The Petal Exchange with the goal of sharing that same experience with customers in an atmosphere in which accessibility inspires creativity.
As the lead designer at The Petal Exchange, my favorite style of design mimics the natural movement of flowers as seen outdoors. Soft tones, meticulously dyed neons and everything in between are my jam. I enjoy working with clients to design pieces that fit their unique style and budget. We don’t work with a wire service, so you can be sure your order is one-of-a-kind.
